We apply science and technology to describe and understand the Earth for the benefit of Australia. 

This will contribute to a safer, more prosperous and well-informed nation. Our work covers the Australian landmass, Australian marine jurisdiction and responsible jurisdictions in Antarctica. We support evidence-based decisions through information, advice and services for a strong economy, resilient society and sustainable environment.
