Professional Bio
Roman Pevzner is a Professor of Exploration Geophysics at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. He received his PhD in Geophysics from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2004 and has led research at Curtin since 2008, focusing on seismic monitoring technologies for geological carbon storage. His work spans time-lapse seismic, borehole geophysics, and distributed fibre-optic sensing, with major contributions to the CO2CRC Otway Project, where he leads seismic monitoring activities for Stages 3 and 4. Roman has co-authored over 90 journal papers and 190 refereed conference abstracts and serves on editorial boards of several international journals. His research has been recognised with awards from SEG, EAGE, and CO2CRC for innovation in seismic monitoring and industry impact.
