Perry Wilson
Head of Advisory ANZ - Rystad Energy
Professional Bio
A commercially focused advisor with a background in engineering and over a decade of international experience across the energy and resources sector. Skilled in bridging technical depth with commercial outcomes, drawing on project delivery and leadership experience across the UK, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. Industry exposure spans energy, utilities, mining, transport, and heavy industry.
Leads Rystad Energy’s Advisory business across Australia and New Zealand, supporting clients with market, policy, and investment decisions across the energy transition. Areas of focus include gas and LNG, renewables, electrification, CCUS, and biofuels — where commercial viability, system planning, and emissions performance intersect. Known for translating complexity into clarity to support board-level, regulatory, and investor engagement.
Previous roles at Deloitte, IntelliHUB and pitt&sherry covered strategy consulting, commercial advisory, and engineering. This included work on industrial decarbonisation, grid modernisation, and demand-side market development — underpinned by policy analysis, financial modelling, and stakeholder alignment.
Complements advisory delivery with active governance and sector engagement, including board roles with the Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity (A2EP) and youth mental health organisation, Conviction Group.
Has contributed thought leadership across several areas of the energy transition — including authorship on post-combustion carbon capture, global biofuels markets, and lifecycle emissions reduction pathways through circular economy approaches. These publications support broader dialogue on low-carbon supply chains, industrial decarbonisation, and sustainable infrastructure investment.
