Cameron joined INPEX in 2012 and has held various commercial positions, including General Manager Commercial.
In his current role, Camreron leads teams that cover a variety of greenhouse gas (GHG) management activities and decarbonisation projects, including: GHG team, responsible for Ichthy's overall GHG strategy, compliance and reporting activities; Bonaparte Carbon Capture and Storage (BCCS) team, leading commercial and strategic coordination of this project; Renewable Power Import team, defining renewable power import strategy for Ichthy's to ensure reliable and efficient energy supply; and Nature Based Solutions team, that supports Australian carbon credit unit (ACCU) generation and related environmental initiatives, including the Wheatbelt Connect project.
In 1993, he began his professional career with BP at the Kwinawa Refinery, as a process engineer. His subsequent 20-year career with BP including significant international experience based in London and Los Angeles, before returning to Perth in 2011.
Cameron completed Chemical Engineering (Hon's, 1st class) and Commerce degrees at the University of Melbourne.
