Alina Almukhametova
Curtin University
Professional Bio
Alina is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Exploration Geophysics, Curtin University, Western Australia. She holds an MSc in physics, and prior to commencing her doctoral research she gained more than a decade of industry experience as a reservoir engineer with a major international operator.
Her current research focuses on monitoring and verification of geological carbon storage, with a particular emphasis on seismic history matching, reservoir simulation, and time-lapse (4D) vertical seismic profiling (VSP) analysis. As part of her PhD, Alina is actively involved in the CO2CRC Otway Project, where she investigates plume evolution and develops methods to integrate seismic data with reservoir models to improve monitoring strategies and conformance assessment.
