Professional Bio
Dr Rami Eid is a numerical modeller and basin analyst, specialising in the subsurface evaluation of key energy and storage commodities including methane, CO₂, and hydrogen. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Adelaide and a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, where his research examined the potential of geophysical methods to monitor CO₂ sequestration and migration in geological storage formations.
Rami previously worked as a Senior Geologist at the Geological Survey of Victoria, contributing to statewide basin characterisation and subsurface resource assessments. He recently joined Geoscience Australia as an Energy and Storage Basin Analyst, assessing Australia’s prospective geological storage resources for CO₂ and hydrogen.
