Aleksandra Kalinowski is Assistant Director of Energy Initiatives and Advice at Geoscience Australia. Aleks has worked extensively on carbon capture, use and storage and continues to undertake research and provide technical advice on low carbon geoscience sectors including CCS, hydrogen, geothermal, and other low emissions energy resources. Aleks leads applied research activities that focus on better understanding the portfolio of options available for geological storage of CO2 in Australia and on reducing uncertainty around geological storage. She holds a PhD in geology from the University of New South Wales.
